Run Multiple Yahoo Messenger In a Single System & Removal Of Ads

Here is the way you can run multiple yahoo messenger in as single system :

• Click on Start Menu

• Click Run

• Type “regedit” without the quotes, press Enter

• Navigate to and expand the following in the said order :HKEY_CURRENT_USER, Software, Yahoo, pager, Test

• Right-click on Test and create a new DWORD value (32 bit).

• Rename that value as “Plural” without the quotes.

• Set the value of “Plural” to 1

Its done & can use any number of messengers of your choice !!!

Removal of ads in Yahoo messenger :

Here is what you gotta do:

• Run regedit

• Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> Yahoo -> Pager -> View

• Inside the 'View' key there are a several other keys. Go through each one and edit the 'banner url' string as per you like. It even works if the string is left blank (this causes it to look as if ads were never even implemented). !

• Restart Yahoo! IM for the effect to take hold.

This is great for Yahoo! IM users who don't want to be bothered with ads !!!

Run Multiple Google Talks In A Single System

A Shortcut to Google talk on your desktop / start menu / quick launch bar will have a target address like this :

• C:\Program Files\Google\Google Talk\googletalk.exe

All you got to do is to change target to :

• C:\Program Files\Google\Google Talk\googletalk.exe /nomutex

  The /nomutex is the key here and now you can run multiple Google talk.
