Making Autorun File For CD/DVD’S

If you wanna make an autorun file for the CD/DVD, try this out. Can use this for the autorun of games, softwares etc.

Ø Open notepad

Ø Type the following :

[autorun]

OPEN=INSTALL\Setup_filename.EXE

ICON=INSTALL\Setup_filename.EXE

Ø Now save it as.inf extension (Don’t save as.txt)

Note : The "Setup_filename.EXE" MUST be replaced with the name of the setup file. And you also need to remember that it is not all setup files there are having .exe extensions. Some do have .msi extensions too. According to that, make changes in above commands.

Ø Now burn your CD/DVD with the autorun .inf file included.

Ø Set the CD/DVD in your CD/DVD drive and wait for the autorun to begin. If its not starting just double-click on the CD/DVD drive in “My Computer”.
